Money Can do edged out Ellembelle City Football to win the 2024/25 Ellembelle District Football Association (DFA) Third Division championship on goal difference after both teams finished with 7 points.
Both teams won their respective 2 games against Unity FC and Holy Mercy on Sunday at the Awuale Amihere Kpanyinli III Arena.
Ellembelle City beat Holy Mercy 7-0 but lost out the title due to Money Can Do’s superior goal difference after walloping Holy Mercy 12-0.
According to the District Football Association chairman, the two best teams or more will be promoted to the upcoming Nzema Second Division League for the 2025/26 Season.
As it stands now, Money Can do and Ellembelle City FC have been promoted to the Ghana’s third tier competition pending a final approval from the Western Regional Football Association ( WRFA).
