The Municipal Youth Parliament for Evalue Ajomoro Gwira, has issued a strong statement concerning the delayed Axim Youth Resources Centre.
In an exclusive interview with Lens Radio, Jonas Kabutey who is the municipal Youth Parliament speaker revealed that, his parliament has put some measures in place and planned to use the Sports Complex if the government of Ghana and other relevant authorities fails to respond to their demands before July 29.
The youth have shown their displeasure with the leaders following the delay in the completion of the Sports Complex.

The project was started in 2018 and since then the facility has not been completed and handed over to the public for use.
This led the Youth petition leaders to express their dissatisfaction with the situation last May.
According to Jonas Kabutey, they are reminding the leaders an ultimatum up to July 29 to complete the facility and handover else they will use it as it is.
“We have not been treated fairly, the construction of the stadium has taken 7 years and it is still not ready.
“We are given authorities from today up to July 29, if we don’t see any progress, we will take over the facility and use it by ourselves, he told Lens Radio in an interview monitored by DomesticSportgh.com.

The delay in the completion of the Sports Complex has by extension affected sports development in Axim and it’s a major concern for the youth of the area.
” We’re poised to use the Axim sport complex on 29th July, 2024 to organize the Municipal Community gala if the government refuses to adhere to their request”
“As a leader of the youth of Evalue Gwira Ajomoro, I’m highly disappointed in the leadership of the municipality for being unconcerned”, he added.

The Axim Sports Complex if completed is expected to have a FIFA standard playing field, restaurant, ICT Laboratory and others.
