Kwame Peprah to complete Orlando Pirates switch
Kumasi-based King Faisal’s forward Kwame Peprah has departed Ghana for South Africa ahead of his proposed move to Orlando Pirates FC, according to local media reports.
Peprah left the country on Friday night and is expected to arrive in Johannesburg on Saturday to undergo his medical examination and sign officially afterwards.
The South African giants are expected to announce the signing of the Ghana U-23 player on Monday if everything about the deal is completed.
Faisal will earn around US$150,000 from the sale of Peprah to the Soweto giants with the player signing a three-year contract.
The 20-year-old was an outstanding performer in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League where he was involved in 22 goals for Faisal.
Peprah scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 29 appearances which ensured the Kumasi based club retain their status quo in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Ghana champions Hearts of Oak came close to signing the prolific forward in the second transfer window but an agreement couldn’t be reached.
South African Premier League side Maritzburg United were also keen on landing the highly-rated youngster.
