Hasacaas Ladies arrive in Ghana with WAFU Zone B trophy
The Hasmal Ladies left Ivory Coast Saturday morning after defeating Rivers Angels by 3-1 to win the WAFU Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League trophy.
They were met by the Regional Minister, Kobby Okyere Darko and a host of dignitaries from the Regional Football Association.
The team presented the trophy to the authorities after a short ceremony held in Takoradi.
The Ghana women’s Premier League Champions, gifted the country a huge gift by winning their 3rd title in the just-ended tournament held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The Sekondi-based club put up a spirited performance to beat the Rivers from Nigeria by 3-goals to one. The Angels never really looked like they were contenders for the trophy in the final registering no shot on target in the first 45 minutes.
With this win, the Hasacaas Ladies have added one more trophy to their trophy cabinet to complete treble this year.
