Berekum Chelsea made their home advantage count after thrashing Accra Lions in matchday 30 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Bibiries inflicted a resounding 4-0 win over Accra Lions at the Golden City Park on Sunday afternoon to move 4th on the league table.
Despite creating a lot of scoring opportunities, both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the first half.
After the break, the host broke the deadlock through Stephen Amankona who scored from the spot in the 47th minute mark.
Christopher Ennin’s side kept pushing and grabbed their second goal of the match through Amankona in the 60th minute.
Five minutes later, Berekum Chelsea found the back of the net again through Dramani Awuah to extend their lead in the much-anticipated encounter.
The home team continued their demolishing exercise and registered their fourth goal of the match in additional minutes of the tie through Henry Ansu.
Berekum Chelsea are now 4th on the league standings with 46 points whiles Accra Lions drops to the 8th position with 41 points after 30 matches into the season.
Chelsea will travel to Dawu to play as guest to Dreams FC in matchday 31 of the BetPawa Ghana Premier League.
