The Management of Ghana Premier League side, Karela United have paid a courtesy call on the paramount chief of the Mamprugu Traditional Kingdom, Na Bɔhagu Mahami Sheriga (Nayiri), at his palace in Nalerigu.

It comes ahead of their first home game this weekend at their newly adopted home grounds Naa Sheriga Sports Complex.

The courtesy call was led by the Management Committee chairman of the club on Wednesday February 21st February, 2024 and had the leadership of the club supporters group.

In reaction, the paramount chief of Mamprugu Traditional Kingdom sent his blessings and best wishes.

“It is an honor to host your Premier League games here, it’s also an honor for Nalerigu and North East Region..We will support you with our prayers”.

The kingdom also encouraged the players to play confidently against any club they may come across in this second round”.

Karela United who have moved from Tamale to Nalerigu will play Legon Cities on Sunday at Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in the week 18 of the Ghana Premier League.
