The Matchday 14 fixtures of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League concluded across various venues with intriguing outcomes, leaving two games yet to be played.

On Friday, Hearts of Oak secured a 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Sports Complex.

The action continued on Saturday, with Dreams FC edging Asante Kotoko 2-1 at the Tuba Astro Turf. Yahaya Baba gave Kotoko the lead in the 40th minute with a close-range tap-in after a well-executed cutback. Just before the break, Saaka Dauda extended the advantage in the 43rd minute, capitalizing on a rebound. Joseph Esso pulled one back for Dreams in the 58th minute, raising hopes for an equalizer, but they couldn’t find another goal, and Kotoko held on for the win.

At the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Nations FC bounced back to form with a dominant 3-0 victory over Legon Cities. Nafiu Sulemana was the hero, scoring a brace in the 7th and 32nd minutes, while Barimah Baah sealed the win in the 68th minute.

Bechem United continued to build on their strong campaign with a narrow 1-0 win over FC Samartex at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park. Darlvin Yeboah’s second-half strike in the 46th minute was enough to secure all three points for Bechem.

Meanwhile, Heart of Lions extended their impressive form with a 3-1 victory over Basake Holy Stars. Nana Kwame Oppong opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Emmanuel Ofori Sakyi doubled the lead in the 21st minute. Holy Stars managed to pull one back in the 60th minute, but Oppong completed his brace with a stoppage-time goal to seal the win.

At the DUN’s Park, Bibiani GoldStars triumphed 2-1 over Nsoatreman FC. Michael Nkoah gave GoldStars a 1-0 lead just before halftime in the 45th minute, and Foster Agyei doubled the lead in the 56th minute. Nsoatreman fought back with a late goal in stoppage time from Abdul-Bashiru Hussein but couldn’t complete the comeback.

Young Apostles and Vision FC played out a 1-1 draw at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. Ramzy Abubakar gave the hosts an early lead in the 7th minute, but Emmanuel Atta Frimpong equalized for Vision FC in the 86th minute, ensuring the visitors left with a point.

On Monday, Aduana FC will host Accra Lions at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, while Medeama SC will welcome Karela United to the TNA Park on Wednesday.

At the top of the table, Heart of Lions, Bibiani GoldStars, Bechem United, and Nations FC occupy the top four positions, while Accra Lions, Dreams FC, and Legon Cities find themselves in the relegation zone.
